So great when the taxi driver threw them out.

My theory is that it's a non-elimination leg and that Lori and Bolo are still in it. TBContinued ending is more dramatic than a non-elim ending.

It's a shame the original Checkpoint Charlie isn't there any more. It was torn down after reunification and they put a copy up. There was an interesting museum near the checkpoint. I had German punks hit me up for money while there.

How many of us where nodding along with Gus during the episode?

Or possibily two legs in a row without a pit stop (which amounts to the same thing, and explains the curious language about "several" or "three" non-elimination legs.

And it was so awful that another taxi was right there to pick * and V up. Yay, first taxi driver!

Talk about a cliff-hanger -- this show left us with more questions than it answered.

I heart Gus. Why? Because he's Obvious Man. But we need an Obvious Man to say to the camera what the rest of us are thinking. Yay, Gus!

God, those Trabants suck! And it looks like Hayden is this season's useless-with-a-map racer. It's not that hard, folks, and I would assume you'd practice before leaving on the race. But then again, some folks need instructions from Obvious Man.

I hope and believe that Lori and Bolo will catch up.

And I wonder what kind of gross food they have to eat next week.

I know I was. I think I yelled "asshole!" every time Jonathan said anything during this episode.

Edited to add:

I hope and believe that Lori and Bolo will catch up.

If they don't the whole "to be continued" thing will be pointless.

I was wondering that too, schnauzers. I think it'd be kinda cool if they get their clue in the internet cafe totally expecting it to say pitstop, and instead it's more route info which will lead to another detour and then another roadblock before finally the pit stop. I think the editors may have telegraphed that a bit when they showed Kendra saying "hopefully it'll be straight to the pitstop" or something like that when they were on their way to the cafe.

Didn't they say 3 non-elims?
That would be quite interesting leaving no more non-elims until the final 3.
But, the idea of an extended leg works too!

Looks like Freddy and Kendra get Yielded!?! I am gonna take a stab and say its J and V.
More Gus and Hera love along with Kris and Jon.
Solid detour.

I'm guessing there was an unscheduled change of plans somewhere in the series and they had to extend an episode some what. What I really want to know is how do they go with this next episode? Two pit stops?

This would certainly provide an answer to the "8 elimination points + 3 (several) non-elimination legs" riddle, as this looks to be the first half of a double-length leg with no pitstop. Yikes, talk about killer fatigue...

Exactly.

Well, BVM did promise us a lot of twists, and he did say that the racers were going to have a hard time of it in this race because they'd be sleeping outside a lot. So I guess he was serious.

I'm so mind-fucked by this episode. It was really good though. Hopefully the weirdness will save Lori and Bolo

It was good.
And, if Bolo and Lori get some sort of reprieve, I will be happy--it will mean that it wasn't a total Russian roulette elim with those fucking cars.

I do hope Lori & Bolo can catch up as I really like them. I totally believe Lori when she said they are working better then they ever have. What is up with 10pm opening hours? I find it hard to believe that those are the normal operating hours of the cafe. I'm starting to believe there is more and more artificial bunching this season.

Why did we get Jonathon and Gus shirtless, but no Jon/Aaron/Freddy? God we need more gay men involved with this show.

An extended leg makes sense. I was thinking 'inside the box.' ;) Man, I hate it when that happens.

I love Jon's reaction to the Detour options, he recognised a total "chance" one when he saw it.

I don't want Lori and Bolo to be gone. This leg only made me like them more. Hayden is getting more and more on my nerves. And Aaron? Temper, temper! I looks like he hurt his hand when he got pissed about the car.
