10.13 - Say Your Deepest Prayers Ever

Postby buckybacker on Sun Dec 10, 2006 8:47 pm

Since many of us (but obviously not me) will be TARConning somewhere in the world, I thought I'd put this up.

Plus, I've always wanted to do it.

The moral of this story is: use a cabbie with EZPass.

As usual, the favourites take home the money.

As soon as Rob and Kimberly was bickering, I just knew they wouldn't win it.

Damn plane ride, The Lyns lost because they decided Orly would be better like the first plane ride.

Well now we know why the episode was only an hour long - they were afraid we'd all die of boredom if they stretched it to two hours! I couldn't have cared less about anything tonight. Blech!

I agree. I'm glad Bama didn't win but, overall, a boring conclusion to a pretty good season. And then they made it even more boring by showing us Tyler & James' families calmly sitting on a couch saying: "Congratulations". Yeah, nothing thrills me more than watching someone talk on the phone. (And what the hell was up with James' dad's eyebrows?)

This season had such promise with the whole "going east" thing, starting in such interesting and difficult countries (China and Mongolia, right off the bat!). But it kind of lost its shine at the end.

And I totally agree with Rachel that one of the most boring things in the world is watching other people talk on the phone! That was AWFUL.

MEH!

TAR9 had better personalities, worse challenges. TAR10 had better challenges but all the favorites got eliminated early. Early on, I thought this would be the best season ever. That ending made it go straight down the toilet with a whole lot of broken hynik crap.

I'm letting my brother (to be known as TrisMonkey) have the final words.

Hi i'm TrisMonkey I love the race and TYLER AND JAMES are the best winnners ever (just kidding)

Last word from Tris; ***subliminal message to button makers*** It's not just a phone, it's a SPRINT phone! Hee.

Guys, what did Phil say at the end?

"60,000 miles, spanning 4 continents. Tyler and James, you guys are the official winner of The Amazing Race."

anyone have the exact quote? It's important, thanks.

must have been cold in NY. or at least Kimberly must have been.

why didn't they make the teams do more stuff in NYC? the 56 mile taxi ride was only exciting at the toll booth (I have EZ Pass..do u?) good times.

I wasn't rooting for Tyler and James but I was happy for them. The phone call was awfully short and it made me think of T/J as humans rather than "that team I don't want to win." My main complaint was that, apart from the on-foot trip to the cube, the winner was all about the best cab ride. I would have preferred a task like last year's flags. The winner seemed sorta arbitrary (and yeah, I'd probably still think so if R/K had won!)

Whoo hoo-All-Stars preview and we only have to wait until February!

Eh. I can't must up enough excitement to say much. My only question - did they make the Lyns run the whole course after it was pretty clear they wouldn't win with the later flight?
