And we're off!

Wow, that was really...boring.

I'm glad they're gone. They made that donkey cry. I wouldn't have moved for them either.

Pretty scenery and pretty Phil. I'm happy.

Glad you enjoyed it. Personally, I thought it was a snoozefest.

Yeah, I'm with Rachel here, I wasn't too blown away. Some of the donkey stuff was amusing but overall, I don't feel like we really got to know any of the teams besides maybe Nathan/Jennifer, and the tasks didn't really feel very Irish. I was glad to see Ari/Staella go, I'd already had more than enough of them.

Anyone else notice that Shana and Jennifer were labeled Nathan and Jennifer at one point?

And Kynt and Vyxen have already overused the Goth puns/jokes.

First premiere ever without a Detour...that just feels wrong.

Out of curiosity, what would have made it less of a snoozefest?

Hee! LOVED the donkeys! It does make me think perhaps I would travel with carrots on the race, you know? :)

I agree about the scenery. Spectacular. And I'm not too sad about the elimination.

Lots of reversals of the lead, too, which made it interesting. I was afraid the ministers would go, but thankfully they did not!

I don't know. Pulling a donkey just isn't that interesting to me.

I like the two hour premire episodes better, you get to know the teams a little better. The only team they didn't seem to show much was the ministers. I am surprised at how many of the teams are unlikable. Just the teams that finished in the top three spots are the ones I'd like to route for. What was the airline pilot doing once he got into the car, doing his pre-flight check list before he started going? Holding up the other teams wasn't a good start. Wish they would of had to cut the sod too. Too bad no one yelled "My donkey is broken!!!"

I saw the mislabel too. It couldn't be like they were rushed to get the series in the can.

The only real Irish thing was the accents on the locals. Leading a donkey? Where have I seen that before? Oh, that was a llama in Peru season 7. But on the other hand if they were throwing potatoes at leprechauns, someone would be mad.

I loved the bike thing, but the only thing I could keep thinking was something theAmazingRacer said a few series ago, "is this really amazing?" As much as I love this show and as much as I want to be on this show, there are times I feel like there's nothing new to do so let's end it while it's on top.

I noticed it as well. And I thought it was just me.

I'm going to guess the Detour was edited out, just like in previous seasons when a roadblock was done but not shown on TV.

Did I hear this correctly? There are 11 legs and 8 of them are elimination points.

I am not sure if the episode was boring or not. I was just too darn excited about having something to really watch on Sunday night. I will have to go back and rewatch for substance. I feel like an addict that finally got a fix!

Can we fast forward to next Sunday?!?(my birthday & David Jr.)

You did. Sounds different than what the PR package said.
