Wow. That's a twist.
Of course, if the first team in leg one gets knocked out an episode later, well, never mind. Heh.
3am Saturday early morning ET is a little more than 2 hours away, and you can watch the 47th and Broadway live cam and watch the camera crew set up right now. http://www.earthcam.com/usa/newyork/timessquare/?cam=tsrobo1

If the same team that gets first place on the first leg also wins at the end, it's 2 million.

According to my extensive research (<cough>2 minutes on wikipedia<cough>), 6 teams would have qualified for this in the past:
TAR1 Rob/Brennan
TAR 10 Tyler/James
TAR 13 Nick/Starr
TAR 15 Meghan/Cheyne
TAR 19 Ernie/Cindy
TAR 20 Rachel/Dave

I love how Rob and Brennan nailed first place in the first and last legs... and then it took 10 seasons before another team managed it.
After all these years, I still think Rob and Brennan were some of the best contestants we ever had the pleasure of watching run.

Okay, it's not much of a mention and it wasn't serious, but Jimmy Fallon did a Top 10 bit about Letterman retiring, and number 2 was:
2. Jay Leno needs a partner for next season's "Amazing Race."

Well, this is different - CBS is apparently announcing when and where the race will start. Are any Tarflies in New York and willing to stay up all night (or get up really early) this weekend?

Yeah, I just saw the announcement on Phil's FB page. At least we know we're definitely getting a season 25. And the starting line is in Time Square at three o'clock tomorrow morning. Sounds interesting.

Re: TAR in the Media
Apparently TAR 25 is going to have two people from Survivor who I have no memory of.

I didn't remember them either, but after I looked her up, I did recall something about a Survivor romance where one of the couple was married to someone else, but considered herself separated.
