No, whenever I see Dave Salmone, that's my first thought as well :D.
TAR in the Media
Re: TAR in the Media
Interesting comparison of TAR and another new show that I will not be watching, Expedition Impossible:

(Sidenote: Am I the only one who saw Dave Salmone was the host and immediately thought "Hey! That's the animal trainer guy Chelsea Handler used to let penetrate her!!"??)

I totally agree with the reviewer about the Amazing Phil! I was going to try this show, and then forgot when it was starting. I'll see if I remember next week.

Re: TAR in the Media
I watched EI last night (I needed a break from doing paperwork!), and it was ok, though obviously a Burnett show (between tasks the teams randomly jump across large distances with no explanation as to how, the extra-cheesy 'wave as the eliminated team is removed by helicopter' sequence, pseudo-local phrases/"traditions," and so on). I might give it another week.

It's no TAR but I'll keep watching it. I mean, it's summer. What the hell else is on?

Re: TAR in the Media
All I'm going to say about EI is that the script Dave read for the first 10 minutes was a virtually duplication of the introduction Phil for the the very first episode of TAR ten years ago. I was even guessing correctly what point Dave was going to say next it was that close of a verbal ripoff of Phil'd words.
Ridiculous!

Re: TAR in the Media
I just saw that on a different site - and I'm feeling rather ill. For the first time in years, I'm not sure I want to watch. At least until the latest BB retreads get eliminated.

Re: TAR in the Media
I am disgusted with the casting. They are two horrible people who are even worse when they are together and I am not watching until they are eliminated. I honestly don't understand why CBS keeps casting them - this is their 3rd appearance on a CBS show.

Re: TAR in the Media
Just had a look at the cast, and I totally agree with you guys. This is the first season where I'm baffled by ALL of the casting, and don't want to watch simply because of that. What is up with constantly having other reality show contestants on this show? I've never watched BB before, but just based on the short clip I've seen, those two seem like horrendously awful people. Too many abrasive/annoying people for me. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I actually might not watch at all this season. What a disappointment!

Just saw the casting on Zap2it, and it made my stomach turn. You can count me as another avid TAR fan who will not watch until I hear that the BB13 team has been eliminated.

I don't watch Big Brother, so I have no clue about that couple.
But I was excited on Sunday to see the TAR20 promo!

I'm with Andrea...I don't watch Big Brother so they're just another couple to me. Is there anything besides the BB casting that is turning peoples' stomachs? I'm looking forward to watching the team videos tonight.
