IMO, I guess it's really no big deal for Kelly right now, considering the fact that she's slated to be in some crap-ass conditions anyway. Overall, she's probably the type of girl to always appear as her one hot and true self. Also, given that I kept wondering where I've seen her before, and given the fact that I thought she looked familiar because she looks like Teri Hatcher's twin, I definitely think she's cute (whether I end up liking her or not).
Ron & Kelly - Team DRAMA!!!
I've never been to Lima, or to Bagdhad, but I have a hard time believing that they are THAT similar.
I was hoping they'd bite it too, but they've survived to live another leg. Maybe they'll keep dragging their asses.

Yeah, something tells me the folks in Lima wouldn't be too thrilled being compared to war-torn Baghdad.
These two did absolutely nothing for me. I was hoping they'd choose the llamas and get spit all over, too. Just to see how she'd react.

Oh that is what he meant. His words last night were "donate money to disabled guys over there". So I wasn't sure if he meant injured soldiers or Iraqies (is that a word?).he will donate his share of the money to help veterans from Iraq

Yeah, I'd like to see him put that in writing before I start oohing and awwing over how generous he is.

See, I'm more meh on these two. Maybe I'm more forgiving after the horror that was last season, but they didn't grate on me at all. They're not the best racers and I don't see them lasting more than a few more legs.
But they're considerate to each other and to the world around them. They're both kinda understated - which is not a bad thing to be at all. Granted he's more outgoing than she is, but in that military "yes mame" way.
And as for him constantly mentioning he was in Iraq - I didn't see that all that much. I think that's just the Amazing Editors trying to give us a picture of who he is so we can differentiate between teams. Plus they played up the fact there was a former POW in all the commercials, so they needed to deliver on the goods. I hope we'll see less and less of that as time goes on and more of who he is.

What I really hate is the fact that all the ads, and even the editing, is telling us, "Love them, you must love them, don't you love them? They're the perfect (WASPy) all-American couple!"
Fuck off, (not-so-)subliminal messages.

I don't even think she's pretty. Her smile is just plain eww to me.
I'm going to give him a provisional pass on the POW thing ... for now. I keep thinking of how Charla's pre-Race interview was used in nearly every leg she was in, with the same damn quotes over and over again. At least she didn't have to tell the other Racers she was a dwarf. And I didn't see Ron broadcasting it; it was just in that one fairly quiet airport conversation with Ray, which we pretty clearly came in in the middle of, and then his one comment about how Lima kind of reminded him of Baghdad.
But if we start hearing about it as much as we heard that Romber was on Survivor (did you know??), then he loses the provisional pass.
Her I just plain don't like.

Wow, Rob was on Survivor. He should tell someone. Heh, its almost like the Guidos in Paris.
I didn't like her either. I think by the first commercial break I was hoping the curse would kick in and she would get eliminated. I still like him, her, not so much.

I don't like 'em. Mostly because of how much we're told we should like 'em.
Did you hear the girl? "Hey, we're taking American Airlines. You were All-American in football. How funny!" No, it isn't. And shut up. And a beauty queen? Huh. I'll just say this: She must have kicked serious ass in the talent competition.

But not a lot of brains."Ron is very stubborn," she said. "He's an Eagle Scout and of course has a lot of that military training."
Adorable? Is adorable another term for annoying and lame? The pair are adorable during the opening episode, and Young is seen with a big grin on his face almost all the time on camera.
Really. I'm sick of it already. And why was he telling the other guy about that and his plans for the money anyway? I doubt he cares. I know I don't, since I'm not so sure I believe him, and I really don't want them to win.I might like him if he could complete a sentence without some reference to Iraq or being a POW.
